A Woodstock, Ont., man is facing more than two dozen charges related to child pornography and harassment, Ontario Provincial Police say.
On Wednesday, members of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit along with Woodstock police and the OPP Digital Forensics unit searched a home in Woodstock following an online child sexual exploitation investigation.
A 38-year-old Woodstock man was arrested and charged with seven counts of making written pornography, seven counts of distributing child pornography and 12 counts of harassing communication, provincial police said.
Police said three items were seized for further examination.
The accused appeared in court via video and was released with conditions according to police.
Police are reminding parents to take a proactive approach to help keep their children safe from online sexual exploitation by talking to them about Internet safety.
