Scotland records 2240 new Covid cases — but no deaths overnight

The Scottish Government has recorded more than 2200 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest Scottish Government figures, 2240 new cases of Covid have been recorded in the past 24 hours – a test positivity of 10.3%

No new deaths have been recorded – however figures are usually lower on a Monday after lower recording levels over the weekend.

A total of 57 people are currently being treated in intensive care with recently confirmed Covid, with 902 in hospital who had recently contracted the virus overall.

The total number of first vaccinations given is 4,308,371 while 3,895,239 people have now received a second dose.
