Erika Jayne is set to release a line of luxury hair extensions later this month.
Amid her ongoing split from estranged husband Thomas Girardi and the $25 million lawsuit that was filed against her amid their joint legal drama, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has launched a new company, Pretty Mess Hair, which will distribute different types of extensions.
“I have worn every type of hair extension on and off stage, and on TV for over a decade,” Erika told PEOPLE on December 2. “So I know what I love and works best for all situations. You name it, I’ve worn it!”
Included in her line are both sewn-in and tape-in extensions. However, when it comes to first-time users of the product, the longtime RHOBH star recommended tape-ins.
“It’s quick and easy to maintain, but still considered a professional product,” she explained of Prettyhairmess.com.
According to Erika, she’s always loved extensions because they’re easy to use and make her feel “pretty.”
“There is not a ‘look’ I will not try because the great thing about extensions is that you can quickly and quite easily take them out and still have your original hair. No permanent commitment, which makes it fun!” she exclaimed. “Beautiful hair immediately makes me feel pretty and as if I can take on the world! Nothing is quite as powerful as a luscious mane of hair.”
“[It] was actually a great time for my hair and skin. I was able to go long periods without having my hair colored or professionally styled, so it grew!” she revealed. “This also gave me time to play with clip-ins, ponytails and tapes, which gave me some much-needed glamour during quarantine.”
“I’ve definitely had quite an interesting year and being a part of a new business venture is both exciting and refreshing,” she added.
As she looks forward to the launch of her new line, Erika said she’s focused on getting her life to a better place after a tough year.
“It gives me butterflies. This is a new chapter of my life and I’m grateful to be moving in a glamorous, wonderful new direction,” she gushed.
While Erika has claimed she knew nothing about the alleged crimes Thomas was committing against his clients in recent years, attorneys and trustees have accused her of accepting money from her former spouse and his now-defunct law firm that was supposed to be for clients.
