Khloé Kardashian has faced backlash for selling her daughter True Thompson’s used clothing online for a few hundred dollars.
Some critics were “disgusted” after they noticed she listed a number of the three-year-old’s clothes on the family’s website, Kloset — a site where the famous family sells their used designer threads.
Fans were alerted to the fact when Kardashian promoted the site on Twitter recently while revealing True’s used clothing could also be bought on the site.
“Omg I miss seeing True in these outfits,” the mum-of-one tweeted while sharing a link to the site.
The tweet sparked controversy, with fans wondering why the star — who’s worth a cool US$50 million ($69 million) – clothing wasn’t donated to charity instead.
“Who would pay that much for children’s clothing let alone used,” one tweeted. “So disgusted when these clothes could be donated to people in need.”
Another user said, “I don’t understand reselling the clothes when you clearly don’t need the money and someone else in need could use them.”
Although some fans came to Kardashian’s defence, arguing the profits may be donated to charity.
“Does it occur to anyone that she will be donating the proceeds she gets from the clothing?” one wrote.
