Joker star Marc Maron revealed on his podcast that he provided the voice of Lex Luthor in the DC League of Super-Pets.
Many DC movies are scheduled to hit in the next few years in theaters and on HBO Max. In addition to their live-action projects, Warner Bros. is also putting out an animated film that centers on the super-pets of the DC universe. DC League of Super-Pets features a star-studded cast, including Dwayne Johnson as Krypto, Kevin Hart as Bat-Dog, and now Joker‘s Marc Maron.
On his podcast, Joker actor Marc Maron, who has been critical of comic book movies in the past, shared that he also has a role in the upcoming DC League of Super-Pets as Lex Luthor. Here’s what he had to say:
“I just did a voiceover, I’m doing two animated movies, they’re both coming out next year. I play Lex Luthor in Super-Pets and there’s a lot of people, there’s big stars in that one… It’s exciting.”
Here is the official synopsis for Marc Maron’s first comic book movie, Joker:
Director Todd Phillips “Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.
Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, the film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
Joker is available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital, while DC League of Super-Pets will hit theaters on May 20, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding DC’s upcoming projects, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
