PARIS — Renault Group has promoted Fabrice Cambolive to chief operating officer of Renault brand from senior vice president of sales and operations.
Cambolive, 54, will report to Renault Group and brand CEO Luca de Meo, and will be the head of the brand’s management committee, the automaker said Wednesday in a news release.
De Meo said Cambolive would oversee Renault’s transition to a full-electric brand in Europe by 2030 as well as the launch of 14 new vehicles by 2025.
Cambolive, a graduate of TBS Education Business School in Toulouse, France, joined Renault in 1992. He held positions in sales and marketing in various European countries before being named vice president sales and marketing for Russia and Eurasia in 2011.
He was named head of Renault Brazil in 2015, and in 2017 was promoted to chairman of the Africa Middle East India Pacific region. Cambolive was named to his current post at Renault brand in 2021.
